What is a pre-built pool?
A pre-built pool arrives fully assembled with all systems already integrated – filtration, heating, and plumbing. Unlike traditional in-ground pools, there’s no lengthy construction process. Your pool is craned into position and connected, meaning you can be swimming in a fraction of the time at a fraction of the cost.
What sizes are available?
Urban Pools come in three sizes. The 4-metre model is a compact dip pool, ideal for couples or small families. The 6-metre is a great mid-size option for urban backyards that still want a full pool experience. The 8-metre is the largest in the range, offering generous space for both swimming and entertaining – and is available with a dual-zone spa configuration for those wanting a pool and spa in one.
Can I customise my pre-built pool?
Yes, Urban Pool is fully customisable. You choose the size (4m, 6m, or 8m), configuration (side step, open spa single zone, or closed spa dual zone), swim system, heating, shell colour (Blue Marble, Black Marble, White Marble, White, or Sandstone), and cabinet finish (Ash, Grey, Whitewash, Charcoal, or Timber). How long does installation take?
Because Urban Pools are delivered pre-assembled with all systems integrated, installation is significantly faster than a traditional pool. Depending on your site and access, your pool can typically be craned into place and connected in a single day. Installation options include freestanding, decking, and paving.
Do pre-built pools require council consent in New Zealand?
Pool fencing and barrier requirements apply to all swimming pools in New Zealand, including pre-built and plunge pools, under the Building Act. We recommend checking with your local council for specific requirements in your area before installing.
